"I met Bill Kane two years ago, soon after his release from prison. In the process of becoming friends I learned that Bill had been a former S.W.A.T. Officer, who through his addiction had ended up in the Penal System.

It was clear after some months by his actions that he was everything he appeared to be. A man who had suffered the indignities of addiction, done prison time for his mistakes, and now was turning his life around.

I also know about this, as I did a 15 year prison sentence, got sober, and was hired by the Department of Corrections where I became a District Commander of a Special Operations Group. I held the position of Hostage Negotiator for the Connecticut Department of Corrections.
